The focus of my research is the developement of a model to calculate chemical gas speciation during volcanic outgassing. The goal is to combine my model with geodynamical codes to track the path of volatiles from mantle into atmosphere on early Earth, Mars and Io.

I obtained my master's degree in metamorphic petrology at Freie Universität Berlin. However, during my master studies I developed - next to my interest in the chemistry of geological processes - a major passion for extraterrestrial systems and I am now 'over the moon' to have the opportunity to become a part of the TRR 170.
